Message From Fr. Matt
Welcome to St. Patrick’s, the official Parish of American Catholics living in and visiting Rome, where for over 100 years the Missionary Society of St. Paul the Apostle (the Paulist Fathers) have joyfully ministered to a diverse community united by language and faith.
My name is Fr. Matt Berrios, CSP, and I am the new Rector of St. Patrick’s Church and the Chaplain to the US Faithful Residing in Rome. I also welcome back Fr. Greg Apparcel, CSP, who is the new Vice Rector of St. Patrick’s and the Procurator General of the Paulist Fathers.
All of our ministries are conducted in English, so you will be sure to fit right in. That includes our inspiring Sunday and weekday Masses, as well as our religious education program that engages both children & parents.
Beginning in September, check out my weekly newsletter for the latest reflection & updates on parish news. Until then, we are providing our weekly bulletins.
In keeping with the spirit of our founder, Servant of God Fr. Isaac Hecker, we are here for you – wherever you may be on your own spiritual journey.
Join us at St. Patrick’s – your home away from home – where you will always find a warm welcome and a ready smile!
And please see about some helpful information about coming to Rome as a PILGRIM during the Jubilee Year of HOPE in 2025 and all that we will offer here at St. Patrick’s Church!!
Peace,
Fr. Matt Berrios, C.S.P.
